Staton Klein started fishing in elementary school. By his teens he was competing in local bass tournaments around the Baltimore-Washington area. He got started in the business guiding at-risk-youth not long after graduating high school. He completed a B.S. in Fisheries Biology and is currently finishing his M.S. in Applied Ecology and Conservation Biology with a concentration in freshwater ecology at Frostburg State University. He has worked with numerous state endangered and one federally endangered species. He has presented his research at several professional conferences. He has been published in Fly Rod n Reel, and Fly Fisherman for his unique €swimfly€ designs.
