Originally from Iluka, a small fishing village in northern New South Wales, Australia, my addiction to fishing started with my dad taking me on his
shrimp boat as soon as I could walk. I’ve been fishing ever since.
I moved to Canada in 2002 with my family. As it turns out, the fly fishing opportunities more than make up for the extremely cold winters.
My obsession with fly-tying has spanned over 25 years. Inspired by a magazine article, I took up the challenge of developing original flies. The quest
I enjoy leading workshops at local fly fishing clubs, and in 2009 was proud to receive the Jack Sutton Award for creativity and innovation in fly tying
from the Izaak Walton Fly-fishing Club.
On the fly-fishing side, for the most part, if it swims - count me in! Having said that, I’ve found a soft spot for Muskie, an elusive freshwater fish
that is not easy to catch, but not impossible either. It helps if you have a “just one more cast” mentality. I’ve been told I have that.
