Chris Mihulka was born in Springfield, Oregon, which sits between the sparkling waters of the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers. At the age of 3 Chris was handed a fly rod and by age 7 he started learning how to tie flies. His youth was spent on the water at every opportunity.
In 1989 Chris helped start McKenzie Fly Tackle Co. and was exposed to the wide variety of fish that will take a fly. Everything from Montana Trout to Tarpon and Snook in the Gulf Coast saw his presentations. The thrill of the chase has taken Chris around the world with his fly rod, but his favorite quarry is till trout, bass, and bluegill.
After 25 years of marriage to Sharon, he is now also sharing his boat with his eight-year-old twins, Ben and Sarah.
